Lizard Workshop for Art Students
Year 11 Art students were joined by two special guests and took part in a photography and drawing workshop. As part of their GCSE art project based on the theme ‘Jungle’ students were joined by Leo the Leopard Geo and Bob the bearded dragon.
The workshop helped the students to develop a number of basic photography skills. They also got to photograph a variety of plants and animals during the session, applying the skills they had learnt to produce some high quality images. The students produced some observational pencil drawings both from real life and the photographs they had taken.
The work produced by the year 11s feeds directly into their GCSE project and will form the basis for a number of developmental pieces of art work. The students thoroughly enjoyed having the opportunity to meet the real life animals and produced some excellent work during the lesson.
