What is the Staffordshire sixth form partnership?

For several years now schools in Stafford have worked collaboratively to offer the best possible choice of subjects to post-16 students in the town. The goal of the Sixth Form Partnership is to maximise the opportunities for all 16-19 students by ensuring they have access to the broadest possible curriculum, whether this is a purely academic route or a mix of vocational and academic subjects. The collaboration is Blessed William Howard, King Edwards, Sir Graham Balfour, Stafford Manor and Weston Road.

Which subjects should I chose to study at A level?

Firstly consider which topics you enjoy studying, you will spend a lot of time on these subjects for the next two years.

Do you need a particular subject for your chosen subject at university, research this before you make your choices.

If you are considering a new subject such as criminology, psychology do you know what they entail?

How do I know which subjects are in which block?

The curriculum programme will show you this.

Can I study BTECs and A-levels together?

In the partnership you are able to study BTECs and A-levels together if they are a single or double award. They must be in different blocks to the A- levels.

If my lesson is at another school, how do I get there?

When lessons are at another school we will provide taxis during the school day. We ask that you make your own way there in the morning and home at the end of the day, if there are any problems speak to Mrs Broomhall or Mrs McKie.

How do I apply?

Applications are made electronically via the Stafford Sixth Form Partnership website.

Applications are open now, until the end of January.

Any questions please ask. Email Mrs Broomhall
